Red Parlor Records announces the launch of Red Parlor Soundtracks - a new division dedicated to film music Red Parlor Soundtracks' first releases will be 2 Original Film Scores from noted composer John Lissauer; David and Layla (www.davidandlayla.com) directed by Jay Jonroy, and Apartment 1303 directed by Otaru Oikawa (and from the author of the Grudge). The "1303" score was recorded in Prague and features violin solos by Barry Finclair. Washington Post (David and Layla) John Lissauer's first big gig came at the age of 19, when he produced and arranged Al Jarreau's first recordings. John went on to produce and arrange a pair of hugely successful Leonard Cohen albums and has been composing, producing and arranging ever since. The last 25 years have been prolific, creating award-winning work that has spanned the globe. He has scored over a dozen feature films, and has arranged and orchestrated even more films including Seven and That Thing You Do. His score for La Tete de Normande St. Onge won a Canadian Academy Award for "Best Original Score in a Motion Picture."
